Department of General Medicine has available 12 month, fixed term position as General Medical Senior Registrar, commencing February 2019. This position would suit ACEM or Royal Australasian College of Physicians trainees. Trainees with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paeds) may also apply and will be considered if there is no suitable ACEM candidate.
The role will provide experience and training in paediatric General Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for clinical experience, teaching, research and leadership.
This role would provide an opportunity for exposure to multiple disciplines in General Medicine. The role would predominently involve inpatient work and participation in the Night Medical Lead roster. The successful candidate will have access to formal mentorship and leadership development within the role. There may be an opportunity to participate in subspecialty outpatient clinics.
There will be the opportunity to attend and participate in General Paediatric meetings, radiological meetings, and Child Protection (SCAN) meetings, as well as wider RCH teaching sessions such as journal club, Grand Rounds, M&M's and clinical meetings.
Please note the successful applicant will be required to undergo a police check and working with children's check. In addition all International Medical Graduate applicants will need to have passed their IELTS test (results must indicate a score of 7 or above in all bands) in order to be successful in this position.
