The Dental Assistant is responsible for the provision of chair-side assistance to the Dentist in the delivery of dental services to ADF Members in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.

The position will commence as casual/locum, with the opportunity for part/full-time employment should the opportunity arise. 

To be successful for consideration as a Dental Assistant you will need to meet the following criteria.

Essential Requirements

• Be an Australian Citizen
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting
• A minimum of 2 years recent full-time chair-side dental assisting experience
• Current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification - must be current at time of employment
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to patients and work with limited supervision within a dental surgery
• Must have the ability to successfully complete a criminal history check
• Ability to hold a baseline security clearance with the Australia Government Security Vetting Agency
• Previous experience working with the Australian Defence Force will be viewed favourably

In addition, as a Dental Assistant you will be required to
   • Assist with dental administration, including Health Clerk shifts
   • Adhere to privacy legislation and Defence Policies and Procedures in relation to         the protection of Personal Information
