We are recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to work for an excellent charity in a service that supports mum's with mental illness and their young children. The mothers, who have sub-acute / stable mental health illness, live at the residential site where there is 24/7 care and support provided. This is a well-established program, having run for a number of year, that achieves great outcomes. You would he position is full-time and permanent – working on a rotating roster, and would be based in South West Sydney.
  
Duties include:

- Work with the mothers and young children (0-5 years old) on a daily basis, assisting with parenting support and mental health care
- Work in a client facing role, interacting and helping the mothers where needed
- Provide care-coordination
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, alongside Psychologists, Social Workers and other nurses.
  
Requirements:

- It is a requirement to be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- We are looking for someone with mental health training and knowledge, and ideally experience working with parents and young children.
- Having a background in Child Health, Maternal Health or Paediatrics can be beneficial
