SalvoCare Northern Victoria is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced person to undertake a position within the Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Team based in Shepparton.
The position sits with in the Goulburn Valley Alcohol & Drugs Services - which is a consortium of made up of Goulburn Valley Health (Lead), SalvoCare Northern & Odyssey House Victoria offering Counselling, Care & Recovery, Non Residential Withdrawal and Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Services for people who reside in the Goulburn Valley & Lower Hume Regions.
The Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Program has been funded by the Victorian Government and the program provides an intensive 10 week, holistic treatment service, including pre entry and aftercare support.
The day program incorporates cognitive therapy, behavioural structures and case planning, within a safe environment, enhancing individual motivation for change and skills development.
The key aims of the program are to:
- reduce or cease harmful alcohol and other drug use, and to avoid and better manage relapse
- establish healthier relationships and lifestyles free of problematic alcohol and drug use
We are seeking a full time Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation Clinician. The role would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced AOD or related sector clinician who possessed the relevant health or welfare tertiary qualifications in addition to possessing group and case management skills.
This position operates Monday to Friday during business hours and provides training and development opportunities. Successful applicants will have a current, valid Victorian driver’s licence.
Remuneration as determined within the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 and the National Employment Standards. Pay point dependant on experience.
