An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Clinical Manager to join St Vincent’s Care Services Werribee in a fixed term - maternity leave role. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career and leadership abilities within a brand new 80 bed facility co-located with St Vincent’s Private Hospital with fixed hours of 8.00am until 4.00pm week days, with some on-call availability.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the management of clinical practices and maintain high standards of care at all times.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of three years previous experience in a similar management role within Aged Care;
  • Advanced clinical experience and Division 1 Registered Nurse with current and valid AHPRA Registration
  • Excellent understanding and management of the Aged Care Accreditation process and Aged Care Funding Instrument;
  • Excellent understanding of the Aged Care Act with a strong commitment to compliance;
  • Ability to develop, monitor and continually improve care rosters, ensuring rosters stay within budget, have a good spread of skill mix and ensure a congruence of care for our residents;
  • Dynamic leadership, time management, bedside and communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members;
  • An understanding of the culture and tradition of Catholic Health, including a commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of the organisation and an ability to promote the behavioural expectations in line with this philosophy;
  • Ability to foster a safe workplace and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to develop sustainable practice;
  • Ability to assist with recruitment, performance appraisal cycles and support the Facility Manager with performance management issues;
  • Commitment to manage by example;
