About the Role:

Reporting to the Superintendent HSE Business Partner and based in our world class Mt Arthur Coal operation based in Muswellbrook we are seeking a Specialist Health to deliver a wide range of health services and initiatives. This is a great opportunity to hone your health advisory skills as you gain exposure to a variety of HSE activities including:

• Manage work and non-work related injuries and illness cases
• Provide expertise and direction for health promotion activities and site based initiatives
• Create individual injury rehabilitation and suitable duties management plans
• Provide strategic and operational support to onsite Contractor Medical Services and external Allied Health Services
• Provide strategic and operational support to onsite Paramedics
• Ensure accurate record keeping of all health and hygiene information and associated data
• Provide onsite support for regulatory hygiene monitoring and health surveillance activities
• Work collaboratively with the Health and Hygiene Analysis and Improvement team to deliver on key deliverables and embed business plan initiatives
• Manage pre-placement and periodic medical process

About You:

• A health related tertiary qualification (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology preferred) is essential. 
• Sound knowledge of NSW Mining Health Legislation/
• Experience in a similar role within a large, structured organisation is highly desired.
• Proven ability to influence
• Strong communication, organisational and time management skills and ability to work in a high performance team
• Genuine desire to help people and achieve solid outcomes
• Previous exposure to the mining and minerals processing industries is preferable
• Knowledge of relevant Health related legislation across Australia.
