About the role:
Reporting to the Facility Manager at Lower Plenty Garden Views Aged Care Facility, located in Lower Plenty VIC, we currently have opportunities for Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants to join our team on a Part time basis.
Shifts Available: Saturday, Sunday and Thursdays 1330-1730
This position is responsible for:
- Respecting every residents' individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle
- Meeting the individual needs of our residents in a caring environment
- Developing formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents
- Providing social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents
The successful applicant will possess:
- Previous experience in providing recreational activities within an Aged Care environment
- A valid Australian Drivers License
- Ability to be self-motivated and promote a positive work environment
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
- A minimum of a Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Experience in conducting Dementia specific programs is advantageous
