Seeking experienced Speech Pathologists to join our team

Sounds Right Speech Pathology is a busy and established practice in the Northern Suburbs. Following successful hiring earlier in the year, we are again seeking Speech Pathologists to join our expanding team of seven Speech Pathologists in our brand new purpose built clinic in Bundoora.

The position can be either part-time or full-time. Flexible hours can be negotiated to fit your schedule and lifestyle. We are open Monday - Saturday.

Sounds Right Speech Pathology offers exceptional services and we have a respected reputation in the outer Northern suburbs for our work with children. Our current caseload is predominately with families accessing services through the NDIS, DSS HCWA and Better Start funding packages. We provide services for a  range of disabilities including; autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, hearing loss, down syndrom as well as children with phonological difficulties, Speech Language delays/disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, literacy and fluency difficulties.

We offer predominately clinic based services (no need to work from your car!) with the very occasional school, home or childcare visit.

This position would suit a Speech Pathologists who can meet the following selection criteria:

• Has a minimum of 2 years experience managing a paediatric population (aged 18months +)
• Has proven and extensive experience with ASD - verbal and non-verbal
• Has experience with Intellectual Disability 
• Is able to work with children who are not yet table top ready
• Extensive experience with AAC and visual supports
• Has a desire to provide optimal outcomes for clients
• Is self motivated and can work independently
• Has excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Has excellent organisation and time management skills 
• Is positive and can think on their toes
• Has experience with a variety of formal assessments (CEL4, CELF P2, PLS 5) and informal assessments
• Has the ability to be able to develop therapy plans and administer 1:1 sessions
• Desirable: previous experience within a private practice
• Desirable: Hanen trained, PECS trained, PROMPT trained

Essential Criteria

• SPA membership with CPD status 
• Police Check 
• Working with Children Check 
• Driver's Licence and own car
• Personal laptop 

Please note at this time we will not consider new graduates. It would also be a bonus if you are willing to work a Saturday. Additional loading for Saturday therapists applies. Pay range will be decided based on candidates proven experience. Positions to commence August/September
