Position Summary:

St Vincent’s Hospital is seeking applications from Enrolled Nurses (medication endorsed) who would like to join the St Vincent’s Hospital team. We are recruiting applicants with the appropriate knowledge and skills, but also the motivation to learn, develop and contribute to the provision of evidence based, holistic patient care.


Positions are available across a range of clinical departments for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time and short term employment. Applicants with recent Australian experience in an acute health care setting preferred or who have completed the equivalent of a new graduate program in an acute Australian hospital setting.


Positions are open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Home Affairs to be eligible to work in Australia


Applicants are asked to list their speciality experience in their cover letter and may nominate their area/s of interest to work.


Positions will operate across either a 7 day rotating roster or Monday to Friday roster, dependant on the particular ward rostering arrangements.

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
  • Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), with AHPRA and applicants with recent extensive Australian experience in an acute health care setting preferred or should have completed the minimum equivalent of a new graduate program in an acute hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development, including an understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems.
  • An understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), work health & safety, infection control, manual handling and continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Immunisation history complies with NSW Health Policy directive PD2018_009
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads.
