G4S have successfully retained the contract to manage Mount Gambier Prison (MGP) on behalf of the Department for Correctional Services in South Australia. We currently have a vacancy for registered psychologist to join the team and are keen to hear from experienced psychologists Australia wide who would consider a lifestyle change and move to Mount Gambier.
As a Psychologist in a correctional setting, you will be part of a team responsible for the implementation of clinical service delivery at MGP. This includes managing the provision of psychological services to prisoners, facilitation of group treatment programs, individual psychological counselling and testing.
Preparing reports for multiple stakeholders and agencies will also be a key responsibility in this role.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a practicing Psychologist within either the public or private sector
- Relevant clinical qualifications and professional certifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ability in reporting and documentation
- Genuine desire to make an impact for the public good
- Superior interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative and creativity will be the key to success in this role
