About the opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day to day operations of this medium aged care site based in the Inner West area of Sydney. You will work closely managing the team to ensure each resident receives high quality person centred care. You will need to be a Registered Nurse as you will share on-call responsibilities with the clinical manager as well as overseeing the clinical aspects as well clinical governance of the facility, reviewing procedures, ensuring compliance and providing support & guidance to clinical team members.
You will have support of a stable and hands on team on site as well as senior managerial support across the business at a higher level, however you will make business decisions for this site. You will be a people leader who likes to get involved and build staff morale as well as having a business focus and feel comfortable with driving bed occupancy and managing budgets.
Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA Registration with recent aged care management experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Nursing, Aged Care, Health management or a related subject
- Excellent communication, strong people leadership skills
- Over three years of recent Aged Care management experience
- Knowledge and recent experience of raising and driving occupancy levels.
- Sound clinical skills and ACFI & Accreditation experience and knowledge
- Positive, can do attitude and open to be hands on!
- Well-presented and hardworking!
