The Role

The role is with a fantastic Aboriginal Organisation in northern WA, where you will play a pivotal part in the Rehab team providing Psychosocial support, counselling and case management to male clients suffering from AOD issues. The Rehab Team is one of a few teams working to support all the services delivered by the organisation. As part of the role, you will also be required to do some travel to regional sites.

Requirements

Essential:

• Tertiary qualification in the health/social sciences or extensive experience in working within the Health
• or Social Service sector.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in case management and counselling of clients with substance misuse problems.
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery and facilitation of education and training programs.
• Sound knowledge, understanding and experience of Indigenous culture and working with people in relation to substance misuse.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Current knowledge of EEO principles and practice, and OSH legislation.
• Current “C” class drivers licence (WA).

Desirable:

• Qualification in the addictions field.
• Case Management qualification/registration
• Previous experience in working in Aboriginal Community Controlled organizations.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

On Offer

• Permanent or contract (Would consider contract if you prefer).
• Ideally a July 2018 start.
• $100k + super +salary sac (negotiable and very much open dependant on experience.
• All relocation costs will be covered.
• Housing - paid.
