The Village by Scalabrini, Drummoyne
- Brand new state-of-the-art aged care facility in Drummoyne, Sydney, NSW
- Permanent part-time Carer positions, 4-5 shifts per week
- Casual Carer positions also available
We Seek Quantity and Quality
Our Carers provide care in a Case (a small household).
We are seeking a number of permanent part-time and casual Casa Carers (Certificate III Care Staff). The dedicated people that are selected as Casa Carers for The Village will work flexibly to deliver person-centred care to residents in a way that acknowledges and values their right to make decisions and dictate the way they live their life. As the primary providers of personal care and support, our Casa Carers will work directly with residents and families to create meaning and purpose within each Casa (household) and the broader Village community.
What We Ask You To Have
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
- Unit of competency HLTHPS006 (assist client with medication)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
- Confidence working in a flexible team environment
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate computer literacy
Nice To Have
- Unit of competency CHCAGE005 (provide support to people living with dementia)
- Unit of competency HLTAID003 (apply first aid)
- Previous experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care
- Ability to speak Italian or other languages
