The Village By Scalabrini, Drummoyne
- Brand new state-of-the-art aged care facility in Drummoyne
- Permanent part-time and casual positions, 3-5 days per week
- Certificate IV level position and pay rate
The Opportunity
The award winning Village by Scalabrini in Drummoyne provides care to its residents in small 'Casas' (households).
The Casa Coordinators are leaders who can inspire and support a close-knit and collaborative care team, working with residents and families to create meaning and purpose within the Casa.
With The Village organised into 5 separate Casas, the Casa Coordinators is responsible for planning and coordinating a living environment in which everything the resident experiences is based on the home.
Our Casa Coordinators collaborate with clinical and support staff to deliver person-centred care to residents in a way that acknowledges and values their right to make decisions and dictate the way they live their life.
What We Ask You To Have
- Certificate IV in either Aged Care/Hospitality/Retail/ Customer Service, or equivalent
- Unit of competency HLTAID003 (Apply First Aid)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care, or willingness to learn
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional standards
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching skills
- Outstanding time management and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
Nice To Have
- Unit of competency CHCAGE005 (provide support to people living with dementia)
- Previous experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care
- Ability to speak Italian or other languages
