Do you want to participate in creating the best team possible whilst making a positive difference to the lives of our residents? You can do this as a Casual team member within St Vincent’s Care Services (SVCS) Gympie and be part of an iconic name within the growth sector of Aged Care.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an Assistant in Nursing to join our Casual pool at SVCS Gympie. As a casual employee, we require you to be available over the full roster period - mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights, both weekdays and weekends.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Certificate III in Aged Care or similar qualification essential;
- An ability to provide personal care that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation;
- Ability to complete care plan documentation;
- The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;
- An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities;
- Great time management, bedside and communication skills;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Some of the tasks involved in this role include:
- Assisting residents with personal care such as: Showering, hygiene and grooming;
- Providing social support;
- Assisting with daily living activities;
- Assisting in the serving of meals;
- Documenting and reporting any change in a resident’s status.
