The Role:
We are currently looking for experienced Emergency Medicine Registrars who preferably hold general registration, some International Medical Graduates who hold limited or provisional registration and are working towards general registration may be considered for this role.
The position entails day, evening and night shifts, including weekend work, as part of a rotating roster.
The ED is a purpose-built facility and includes a separate resuscitation area with capacity for frequent management of medical emergencies in adults and children, major trauma and other life-threatening emergencies.The Department provides resuscitation, stabilisation and initial treatment for all emergencies. It is designated by the State Medical Displan as one prepared to send out teams of appropriately trained staff to a disaster site.
The Emergency Medicine Department is accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) for Advanced Vocational Training and for ACEM Paediatric training requirements. The department has formal academic affiliation with the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University

Skills & Qualifications required:
General, Limited or provisional registration as a Medical Practitioner
2-3 years of experience in Emergency Medicine
Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work as an effective member in a team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
