The Role

An amazingly exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife that is seeking to step up in their career into a Management position, this position is a permanent Full-Time position in Melbourne. Ideally, we are looking for a dedicated nurse with the necessary skills and experience to make a difference! Through your work, it will be expected that you bring healing to patients through genuine care. The position requires an individual who is affirming in nature to encourage the overall recovery of patients alike.
  
This healthcare group offers a 3-5 day stay for new mothers, meaning that they offer Level 2 Special Care Nursery, a Breastfeeding Clinic and Lactation and Postnatal Support. This is a fast-paced position; however, it also requires a lot of care, passion, and dedication!
The position offers shifts throughout the week, on a full-time basis. The role will be commencing immediately.

The Candidate

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and confident individual that will not be afraid to take control and who enjoys being part of a team. Ideally, you will be of the personality type that is able to work with a diverse range of people and health professionals, whilst also being an incredibly driven individual! You will be supported by a high performing team and remuneration is generous.
  
Essential criteria:
  • AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1 with dual Registration as a Midwife
  • 3+ Years Sound Clinical knowledge and skills in any or all the areas of specialties listed above
  • Post Graduate Qualification – Desirable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Commitment to on-going education and self-directed learning
  • Delegation and motivational skills
  • Knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing
  • Ability to educate patients, family and staff
  • Knowledge and skills of the principles of infection management
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Teamwork skills
