Where you will be working
 
Narrandera District Hospital provides emergency, medical, surgical, maternity (shared care model), and paediatric services.  Of the 34 beds, six are day surgery beds and four are bassinets.  Additional community services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, diabetes education, dietetics, speech pathology, ACAT, community nurses, TACP, counselling, drug and alcohol, Aboriginal Maternal/Infant Midwife, Aboriginal Health Worker, child and family health and mental health.

What you will be doing
 
Provide safe compassionate person centred care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve safe quality care outcomes that meet the goals of the individual.
To ensure and oversee safe, effective and efficient nursing care transport service of patients to/from hospital locations and other facilities across NSW and delivery of a high level of customer focused service for a diverse range of clientele.
 
 
Selection Criteria

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with demonstrated evidence to meet the NMBA's Registered Nurse standards for practice and meet the NMBA approved standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks commensurate with the position.
• Demonstrates continuous quality improvement with the ability to: comprehensively conduct assessments; develop a plan for nursing practice; provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing practice; and evaluates outcomes to inform nursing practice.
• Demonstrated competencies in and/or knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in caring for individuals and their family in the specific area of employment.
