About the role
The Mater Hospital in Gladstone is currently looking for experienced Registered Nurses – Level 2 for our Operating Theatres. These exciting opportunities are being offered on a permanent part-time basis.
As the leading private, not for profit hospital and aged care organisation in Central Queensland, Mercy Health & Aged Care has serviced the community for more than 100 years. We are seeking dedicated professionals to continue this tradition at our facility in Gladstone.
As a Registered Nurse – Level 2 within our Operating Theatres, you will work collaboratively within a small but very busy 3 Operating Room Theatre Department. This role provides an opportunity for you to contribute to the leadership of our Theatre team. You will be responsible for the promotion of a learning culture that is patient focused and quality driven. Furthermore the role is responsible for educating and orientating Graduate Nurses and new theatre staff.
There are 2 positions to be filled; both are being offered on a part-time basis.
Salary range: $44.46 to 47.62 per hour (commensurate with level of experience)
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- 4-5 years full-time post graduate experience across gynae/obstetrics, general surgery, orthopaedic, ENT, ophthalmology plastic, and reconstructive surgery.
- 2 years of leadership experience in a multi-speciality Theatre.
- Evidence of a post graduate perioperative certificate/diploma or a commitment to working towards qualification.
- Experience in which clinical and supervisory competencies have been demonstrated.
- Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency.
