What does a Stock Controller do at TerryWhite Chemmart?

A pharmacy cannot function without the products on the shelf to provide to the customer to give them the best health possible. The Stock Controller ensures that our pharmacy has the right amount of stock, at the best possible price so our customers can always find the products they need at a competitive price. This role is vital to the business running smoothly, and the pharmacists being able to give the best possible care to our customers.

What’s required to be a Stock Controller?

We’re looking for someone with great attention to detail and an eye for merchandising and numbers-strength in administration is key. Ability to use stock monitoring software is vital, so a good degree of computer literacy is expected. You will need strong communication skills to relay information to the team on the floor and receive feedback.

Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Monitor, order and replenish stock as required in collaboration with the Retail Manager and the Pharmacy Business Manager
• Ensure that stock on hand is maintained to the agreed budgeted levels
• Comply with the required stock weights for each SKU to the agreed levels
• Coordinate stock movement from storage areas onto shelves/promotional displays
• Be expert at the stock control system (FRED).
• Maintain tidy, clean and organised files (hard and soft copy)
• Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Provide reports on business performance upon request.
• Manage the store pricing.
• Ensure that the stock room is a clean, tidy and organised.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and wholesalers.
• Following appropriate ordering process and procedures at all times.
• Remain up to date with all TerryWhite Chemmart information, promotions, and activities
• Follow appropriate TerryWhite Chemmart process and procedures at all times Monitor supplier performance and rebates
• Always work within QCPP standards and follow all Health and Safety legislation
