ABOUT THE ROLES:

Mercy Mental Health Program is currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses with a passion for Mental Health and a desire to specialise in this exciting area of nursing. 

  • Part Time, Fixed Term positions  - 0.8EFT (5 positions available)
  • Commencing in August 2018 (12 month contract)
  • The Mental Health Transition Program offers experienced Registered Nurses an excellent opportunity to develop as a skilled Mental Health Nurse in an Adult Mental Health Unit, supported by clinical educators, preceptors and the opportunity to complete an academic program providing credit points towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
  • The program offers an opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse in an Adult Mental Health unit, supported by clinical educators, preceptors and structured study days
  • Mercy Mental Health has positions available at both Werribee and Footscray sites.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • A passion for mental health nursing and a strong desire to increase your knowledge and skills
  • Enthusiastic to learn and participate in a structured academic program which provided credit points towards a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • Current valid Victorian drivers licence

Mercy Mental Health supports people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also offer inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
