PYMS is a fully accredited, holistic, youth friendly, primary health care service based at the Billy Dower Youth Centre in central Mandurah and moving to the new Peel Health Hub in November 2018.  A part time position has recently become available (2 days per week) for a passionate and forward thinking Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our team.

As part of the PYMS team, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality clinical nursing care to youth aged between 12 and 25 years.  Focusing on youth issues, strong communication skills are essential as well as empathy in relation to the issues facing young people. A solid understanding of community services and networks and a willingness to develop and maintain relevant community relationships is also required.

Working with other health professionals within the team,  and reporting to the Practice Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:   

• Providing clinical services to clients as required and as directed by the GP
• Supporting GPs in the development of chronic disease management plans, ATSI health checks and/or mental health care plans.
• Providing comprehensive sexual health advice and support 
• Attending health promotion and/or community events

Occasional after hours work may be required to attend community events.
