This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented Retail Business Manager with a passion for the pharmacy/health industry. Become an integral part of the most progressive and successful pharmacy group in Australia that recognises and values employee contribution.

A unique role where you will be able to utilise your pharmacy retail skills.  This position is also hands-on and you will be required to cover the occasional unexpected absences of our Retail Pharmacy Managers.

This role covers approximately 25 stores in SA in addition to a store in NSW.

Travel will be required to Mt Gambier and West Ryde, Sydney NSW.

The responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to senior management on the progress of training delivery and employee competency and skill gaps;
  • Maintain a Retail Competencies Framework;
  • Attend sites and assist with in-store activation and audits where required;
  • Continuously drive the increase in sales through training on add-on sales, and providing input and ideas on how to continuously build sales; 
  • Support catalogue and supplier promotions by planning, organising and implementing promotional activities to maximise sales; 
  • Ensure all stock is visually merchandised in a disciplined, customer friendly, clean and tidy manner according to the SPG merchandising standards; and 
  • Attending Managers meetings and implementing systems for improvements and continual growth.

Qualifications and experience: 

  • Experience in a similar role with at least 3 years’ experience; 
  • Proven leadership in a medium or large retail service environment;
  • A history of effectively managing and supporting teams;
  • Demonstrated experience in retail operations training;  
  • Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessments;
  • Experience in pharmacy compliance and retail training;
  • Diploma of Retail Leadership, Marketing qualifications or similar (desirable);
  • Experience in working in fast-paced environments with exceptional time management skills; and
  • Computer literacy and the ability to present clear and concise reports is essential.
