Your role:

The Patient Safety Clinical Nurse Consultant is accountable at an advanced practice level to develop, initiate, coordinate, monitor and administer patient safety and quality systems and strategies for the Mackay HHS.

Your team:

The Patient Safety team provides a comprehensive service which supports the clinical areas to maximise patient safety outcomes, improve the patient's care and experience by measuring outcomes and evaluating service improvement and planning across the health service.  

A key function of the Patient Safety team is to ensure the health service is compliant with legislative, regulatory and policy requirements of governing bodies such as the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC), the Health Quality & Complaints Commission, and Queensland Health, to name but a few.
