About the role...

The role involves the provision of comprehensive, evidence - based clinical case management, psychological and psychosocial interventions consistent with Redlands Child and Youth Severe and Complex Mental Health Service.

You will provide direct clinical services including assessment, planning and delivery within the context of a multidisciplinary environment, maintaining an awareness of community and organisational objectives. These services include the use of core discipline assessment skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, treatment planning and case management skills.

The Clinician will participate, as part of a multidisciplinary team, in providing comprehensive, specialist and early intervention mental health services.

You will:

  • Maintain a high level of communication with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, and carers and actively participating in multidisciplinary committees as directed by the Clinical Team Leader &/or Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality service improvement activities consistent with organisational planning that enhance the delivery of discipline specific and multidisciplinary services.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.

Current Driver's Licence and use of personal car is an essential requirement for this role.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree qualification from an accredited tertiary institution. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate or eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers is mandatory.

Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA or the appropriate professional body (see below)

Registered Nurse - Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent OR Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Equivalent plus an approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Occupational Therapist - Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice with the National Board.

Psychologist - Registration as a psychologist under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009). Practice endorsement or eligibility to enter a registrar program as a clinical/clinical neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Social Worker - Approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
