Experienced Medical Receptionist (casual to perm.)

  • Strong reception &administration skills
  • Specialist clinic admin experience essential 
  • Regular casual hours:  Mondays & Wednesdays 12.30-5.30pm & Fridays 2-8pm (perm. part-time opp. will be subject to proving self in casual capacity initially). 
  • Must be flexible to work over time and when additional hours are needed
  • NB: We do not require nurses or beauticians for this role, rather the right person will be a career Medical Receptionist/Admin with a long term outlook.

We are a Cosmetic and Dermal Treatment Clinic situated in Hoppers Crossing, West of Melbourne, experiencing exciting growth.  At The DOC Clinic, we pride ourselves on providing quality Dermal and Cosmetic non-invasive treatments led by our highly reputed practitioner Dr Ed Omarjee, Cosmetic Physician, and supported by our dermal therapists, injecting nurse and admin team.

Role, Duties and Selection Criteria:

A Casual opening for an experienced Medical Receptionist (pref. with a specialist medical field) who brings:

  • Flexibility and a friendly, positive disposition;
  • Available and dedicated to work regular casual hours p.w. and do backup cover when needed;
  • Mature with relevant work experience (8yrs+);
  • A clear communicator well versed in English, well-groomed and presented at all times;
  • Confidence and passion to speak about our treatments and product with customers;
  • Great people and administration skills;
  • IT savvy to use our Shortcuts P.O.S., MSWord & Outlook, Medical Director;
  • Trusted to work autonomously and/or supervised;  
  • Australian Permanent Resident/Citizen (temporary visas not suitable)

As the first contact point for The DOC Clinic, you will use your excellent customer service and communication skills when:

  • Greeting and attending to all customers and visitors with a smile
  • Answering customer calls and queries in a professional manner
  • Managing all new enquiries to the clinic to facilitate client appointments
  • Scheduling initial and follow-up appointments with customers
  • Processing cash and electronic payments accurately using the “Shortcuts” point of sale system
  • Processing Medicare Billing via “PRODA portal”
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and DR. with ad-hoc duties, as requested
  • Handling client records with total confidentiality
  • Data entry and general office administration
  • Mailing, Filing, Couriers
  • Sterilising utensils/equipment and general house-keeping
  • Ordering and restocking office stationery, kitchen and other clinic supplies
  • Opening and closing procedure
