Casuals Cleaning
Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates to join our team in the Environmental Department. Hospital Assistants within Environmental Services are responsible for the cleaning and servicing of assigned areas in the health environment including waste disposal and linen services.
This position is required to work in Environmental Services on the Albury and Wodonga Campuses on a rotational roster which includes weekends, public holiday's day, evening and night shifts.
Primary responsibilities of these roles include:
- Cleaning of Patient and non-patient areas on or off campus including restricted areas (isolation, emergency, theatre, Birth suite and Mental Health areas)
- Waste Collection and appropriate disposal of waste streams.
- Linen restocking and soiled line collection.
- Provision of excellent Customer service

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Public Health (professionals, health and allied services, managers & administrative officers) 2011 - 2015.
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
This is a Category B position.
