Hospital Assistant
Multiple Permanent Part Time or Fixed term
Albury Wodonga Health – Albury and Wodonga campus have multiple vacancies in the department and requires suitable candidates to join Environmental services.
Hospital Assistants within Environmental Services are responsible for the cleaning and servicing of assigned areas in the health environment including waste disposal and linen services.
These positions are required to work in Environmental Services on the Wodonga and Albury Campuses on a rotational roster which includes weekends, public holiday's, Day, evening and night shifts.
Primary responsibilities of the role includes:
Environmental services
- Cleaning of Patient and non-patient areas on or off campus including restricted areas (isolation, emergency, theatre, Birth suite and Mental Health areas)
- Waste Collection and appropriate disposal of waste streams.
- Linen restocking and soiled line collection.
- Provision of excellent Customer service

Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Victorian Public Health (professionals, health and allied services, managers & administrative officers) 2011 - 2015
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
This is a Category A position. Successful applicants of Category A positions must provide evidence of vaccination prior to commencement.
