About the Job

The recent roll out of the NDIS and participant led funding has resulted in increased opportunity to the development of services and practice scope with the organisation who wish to lead the way in the provision of therapy.

Work will involve the provision of therapy to those living independently in the community. You will be responsible for the provision of highly specialist equipment and modifications to enable clients to live safely and to enable the fullest involvement in all day to day activities.

There are over 20 front line staff working in the allied health team locally including a mix of educators and allied health clinicians and it’s for this reason we are seeking someone with very strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to think about health provision holistically.

Previous community health experience would be highly regarded as work in often completed off site in the homes of clients.

Please note that there are opportunities locally for those interested in either an adult caseload or a caseload working with Paediatric patients and their families as a KeyWorker for anyone more interested in specialist paediatric service delivery.

Day to Day Duties

Day to day duties will include:

  • Working one to one with clients, families and other members of the team
  • Providing treatment, education and guidance in a one to one or group based setting
  • Work with a large network of clients and local health professionals
  • Create and review care and treatment plans based on individual needs
  • Working to strict policy and procedures

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ability to engage clients from a range of backgrounds
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in the field
  • Ability to adhere to local OH&S policy and procedures
  • Full professional registration with no practice limitations
  • Eligibility to work and live in Australia
  • Previous experience and understanding of the NDIS
