This client is a successful NFP organisation with offices and staff working across all of Australia and New Zealand. The focuses is community based foster care services, offering out of home care family and community based placements for children and young people who have experienced trauma through abuse, neglect and other complex needs.

With an army of therapeutic specialists, clinical professionals, social workers, support workers and carers working in the community, commended for their passion, knowledge and service, the need for the an experienced, professional and passionate hands-on Operations Manager with a background clinical experience working with children and young people who have experience any level of trauma combined with extensive and proven senior leadership has arisen reporting immediately to the Director.

What we need from you:-

  • Tertiary qualified in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline
  • Membership of the relevant professional association
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the clinical assessment and treatment of children, young people and families within the community
  • Significant experience directly managing and operating a team of passionate professionals within the above mentioned field
  • Highly developed ability to provide advice to clinicians and other professionals.
  • Substantial experience in the area of child abuse and/or in working with traumatised children with an educated understanding of trauma frameworks
  • Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and the capacity to negotiate and liaise with key stakeholders relevant to your caseload as mention in the client description above
  • Extensive Budget Management
  • Considerable proven knowledge of the relevant legislation with regards to childrens' services, operating best practice with regards to the Safeguarding of Children
  • Motivate, contribute and drive a dynamic and responsive environment of professionals whilst working under tight deadlines and ensure organisations policies, procedures as well as required statutory legislation are met
