Looking for a graduate midwife or combined graduate nursing/midwifery program in 2019?
Barwon Health are looking for graduate midwives who are currently completing a Bachelor of Midwifery or a Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery (double degree) to join a well-established and supportive graduate program commencing in January and February of 2019.
The programs offered are:
- Graduate Midwife Program - 12 months maternity services
- Combined Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program - 6 months maternity/6 months medical nursing
Barwon Health graduate nurses and midwives can expect to join a program that offers great clinical support and guidance whilst challenging you to be your best. Graduates will work in dynamic and busy clinical environments at the University Hospital Geelong.
The program offers the following:
- 53 week program
- Work 64 hours/fortnight
- Dedicated graduate team including a clinical support
- Clinical skills workshops prior to starting your program
- Orientation program and study days throughout the year
- Supernumerary time in each rotations
- Weekly graduate professional development, further learning and completion of competencies

- Name and direct contact details of two clinical referees
- Most recent official academic transcript including the key to results
Applicants progressing to the interview stage will be notified in writing via post. Applicants will be asked to provide further documentation at the time of interview. This will be outlined when invitations to interview are made.
Interviews will take place in August and September at the McKellar Education and Training Centre, North Geelong. Phone interviews will not be offered.
