About the Role

Western Health has an excellent reputation of providing Graduate Midwives/Nurses with a smooth transition from student to Registered Midwife/Nurse. Graduate Midwives/Nurses are provided with the opportunity to complete rotations across the curriculum of care within the Maternity Unit.

This will be supported from preceptors, clinical coaches, educators, regular debriefing sessions and eight paid study days.

To apply, applicants are asked to complete the following process:

Step 1:

Apply using the Western Health online registration. Each application must include:

  1. Letter of application (no more than one page).
  2. Concise curriculum vitae including a list of clinical placements (hospital, type of ward/experience and number of days).
  3. A certified transcript of all results to date (key to results to be included).
  4. Complete copies of two recent clinical assessments.
  5. Names and accurate contact details, including phone numbers and email addresses of two nursing/midwifery referees who have directly supervised your clinical experience. 
  6. One recent passport sized photograph.

Step 2:

Supply references with Reference Check form (attached to this ad, can also be found on the Graduate Midwifery Program page on the Western Health website)

Step 3:

Attend an interview upon request. All certified hard copies of uploaded documents including a passport photo must be supplied at interview
