Western Health manages three acute public hospitals: Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown Hospital. About the Role
Western Health has an excellent reputation of providing Graduate Nurses with a smooth transition from student to Registered Nurse. We achieve this by providing a multi-layered support structure from Clinical Educators through to Preceptors. We offer an extensive orientation at the commencement of the program, multiple study days throughout the year and access to a multitude of other professional development opportunities.
In our supportive environment we provide each Graduate Nurse with 2 clinical rotations over our multiple sites. Our Graduate Nurses are encouraged to preference these to assist building an individualised program.

To apply, applicants are asked to complete a three-step process:
Step 1: Apply to PMCV (www.pmcv.com.au) using the Computer Match system listing Western Health amongst your preferences.
Step 2: Apply to Western Health using the online process. Each application must include:
- Letter of application (no more than one page).
- Concise curriculum vitae including a list of all undergraduate clinical placements (hospital, type of ward/experience and number of days).
- A certified transcript of all results (key to results to be included).
- Complete copies of two recent adult acute clinical nursing student assessments. Please note that clinical assessments from Mental Health placements will not be accepted. Please discuss any alternatives with the GNP Coordinator, prior to application.
- Names and accurate contact details, including phone numbers and corporate email addresses of two referees, of which one must have directly supervised your undergraduate clinical experience, preferably from a 3rd year adult acute placement. Please note that referees from Mental Health placements will not be accepted. Please discuss any alternatives with the GNP Coordinator, prior to application.
- One recent passport sized photograph (please embed this into your cover letter).
