The opportunity
RDNS is currently looking for experienced and reliable Paediatric Registered Nurses to join our Adelaide team on a Permanent part-time basis to cover evening services.
RDNS SA is a business unit within the Silver Chain Group and you will be required to work across Adelaide’s metropolitan areas for coverage across a service delivery area of North, Central and South Adelaide.
RDNS SA provides client centred care to individuals, eligible health fund members, corporate organisations and veterans in the community.
About the role:
You will work primarily in one service delivery area and may be required to attend clients in another area. There are multiple positions to cover evening shifts over 14day roster.
RDNS Paediatric Nurses provide specialised in-home or close to home care to people with a range of conditions.
This role offers variety and challenge and would ideally suit a Registered Nurse who has a minimum 2 years Paediatric nursing experience and is confident in working autonomously to provide care to children, these positions will also require adult nursing, training will be provided if required.
Our main tasks include: Respiratory Assessment, Hydration Assessment, Wound Care, Medications, Catheter support and Management of Vascular Access Devices.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following criteria:
• The willingness to be flexible in the role providing evening weekday and weekend cover.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Ability to utilise smart device technology as essential tools of the trade to provide services and connect with the team.
• Providing comprehensive services to both Paediatric and Adult clients.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Registration with AHPRA and the Nurse and Midwifery Board of Australia,
- Experience in Paediatric nursing, Clinical assessment skills,
- Self-aware to problem solve difficult situations
- Current driver’s licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Certificate.
Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
