Where you'll be working This position sits within the Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services at Bloomfield Hospital in Orange, a part of the Western NSW Local Health District. What you'll be doing The Senior Allied Health Professional is an integral part of the regional multi-disciplinary health care team, providing clinical leadership and high quality services to patients/clients of the WNSW Local Health District Orange and Bathurst Hubs in order to meet health and well-being needs. Selection Criteria A bachelor degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Knowledge, skills and experience to meet the requirements of the NSW Health Professionals Award Level 2.Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means; and sound interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with a range of key stakeholders eg GP's Residential Aged Care Facilities, inpatient and community MHDA teams, consumers and carers.Extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge, of the principles that guide service delivery within the Older Peoples Mental Health model of practice,clinical proficiency and ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, taking leadership in clinical decision making.Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload.Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice.Demonstrated experience in leading ongoing quality improvement activities and a knowledge of the research process.Demonstrated high level problem solving and project management skills.Licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive regularly for work purposes.
