About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and motivated team of Newborn Hearing screeners based at Nepean Hospital.You'll receive comprehensive training and education using a buddy system and once competent work independently 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday a month-6 hour shifts or until babies are screened. Extra shifts could be available to cover annual leave and sick leave. Selection Criteria to be addressed: Ability to read and write English to an acceptable standard with clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal Experience in working with mothers and infants Previous experience of having worked in a health care setting Positive and enthusiastic manner and able to work independently under direction and seeks guidance and supervision as required Basic computer skills Holds a current drivers licence Ability to work in a team, enhancing the capability and contribution of the team Knowledge of the newborn hearing screening program Need more information?
