Counsellor - Psychologist/Social Worker
Seeking a registered psychologist/social worker for counselling role with Govt Department
• Individual, couple and family counselling
• Ongoing contract
• Immediate start
Our client, a Government Department, is responsible for carrying out government policy and implementing programs to across Australia’s obligation to their dependents.
The main purpose of this department is to provide quality cost-effective mental health care services to eligible clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
• High quality of clinical services including intake service and assessment and referral
• Provide individual, couple and family counselling, and case management
• Facilitate delivery of counselling and other programs in some off-site locations
• Uphold relationships and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate to meet the client’s needs
To be eligible you will need the following:
• Current full Psychology registration or eligibility for Social Work membership with AASW
• Minimum of three years postgraduate supervised clinical experience
• Demonstrated experience managing high volume work load, and dealing with mental health clients
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
