I am seeking experienced and fully registered Occupational Therapist for a short term locum position with a Regional Health Service based in SA.

Remuneration at AHP 2 $79,552 - $91,829 + super.

The role will involve a varied caseload from clinical to community, within Transitional Care Programmes (TCP) and Rehabiliation;

Transitional Care Programmes

• managing a caseload of clients in their own homes - in order to set them up to maximise function and work alongside Physio, care support workers and a case manager to meet their set goals.
• requires some travel within the South East region
• clients have variety of conditions - some are frailer older people - supporting successful hospital/rehab discharges and others have orthopaedic (UL and LL) or Neurological conditions.
• client visits are mostly on a weekly basis but frequency varies according to need.
• attendance at weekly case conferences and fortnightly meetings

Rehabilitation

• day to day on the ward include shower assessments, UL assessments and programs/ therapy, stroke assessments, kitchen assessments, cognitive assessments and therapy, home visits and prescribing home modifications and equipment, running of breakfast group, UL group and other multi D groups, working closely with AHA’s and delegating as appropriate.
• attending case conference meetings, family meetings, assisting with discharge planning.

Essential Requirements -

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
• Full AHPRA
• Relevant experience in Rehabilitation
• Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
• Must have hospital experience
• Be available during this time period
• Current Drivers licence
