We are looking to recruit a Facility Manager / Director of Nursing who can step into this impressive senior management team.
The Organisation
The Whiddon Group have over seventy years experience caring for elderly Australians. With close to 2000 staff and 2000 residents/clients, they are certainly a prominent organisation within the industry.

- Whiddon has twenty-five residential aged care facilities predominately across NSW, and now they are branching into QLD. This includes metro and remote areas
- The organisation has grown by 500 beds in recent years and is set to do the same again
- Head office is based at their flagship aged care complex in Glenfield - South West Sydney
- Whiddon has a highly impressive executive/senior management team who are proud of the organisation they have grown
- You will love the friendly, supportive and collaborative culture within the corporate team
The Role
- This role has the overall management of the 78 bed facility. In 12 months there will be an extension to increase the facility to 102 beds - you will be required to oversee this.
- You will be given the responsibility to run all operations of this home.
- Managing financial performance, you will focus on empowering your staff to provide the best possible care for residents.
- Other areas of responsibility will include ACFI, quality improvement, mentoring & leading staff and occupancy
Skills & Experience Required
- Current Nursing registration (AHPRA)
- Tertiary qualifications in health management (or related)
- Solid experience within the aged care sector in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of aged care legislation, regulation, ACFI and the accreditation process
- Experience with change management and continuous improvement
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the health and aged care sectors, external agencies and funding relevant to industry
- Strong business acumen - Sound financial management knowledge
- Ability to drive great outcomes across multi-site and multi-disciplinary teams
