Coober Pedy Hospital is seeking two Registered Nurses to join our supportive team and provide high quality nursing care within a unique rural health setting. As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will assist with the provision of professional high quality patient care aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement and coordinate care from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes patients. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing care. Coober Pedy Hospital is a 24 bed facility with 14 acute beds, 10 high level residential aged care beds. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. The opal mining town of Coober Pedy is a fascinating and friendly place to live and work, with a very culturally diverse community and a prime location for exploring the Outback of South Australia. 

You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With experience in providing client-centred nursing care, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a rural healthcare setting.
