In this pivotal and career defining position, you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the SA Dental Service. You will have operational responsibility for the role of General Manager, Statewide Dental Services and be accountable to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for shaping the strategic direction of SA Dental Service in accordance with SA Health and CALHN Strategic Plans, the State Oral Health Plan and SA Dental Service Strategic Plan. You will enable continuous improvement to the delivery of high quality, efficient contemporary dental practice and effective public dental service provision across the community, as well as optimising the opportunity for the delivery of innovative models of service provision. You will provide valuable leadership for major programs operated by the SA Dental Service ie. the School Dental Service for children and the Community Dental Service, and the Adelaide Dental Hospital for emergency, general and specialist public dental services for eligible adults and community based health promotion across the State.
You will bring a proven track record of experience in policy, strategic planning and innovative program development at a senior level, preferably in a health related area. This will include experience in establishing systems of management that provide clear direction and ensure defined performance outcomes. Your strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire others will equip you to drive change and influence others in responding to change. You will display impeccable ability to analyse and conceptualise problems, formulate and execute appropriate solutions and negotiate successful outcomes in an innovative and resourceful manner.
