What you'll be doing The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty through the delivery of specialist consultant service which: Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs. Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice. Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services. Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs. Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service. Essential Criteria Vaccination: Category A Checks:Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check Licence: Valid NSW Drivers’ License required Registration:Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse Selection Criteria Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment Extensive understanding of speciality disorders and their current management Extensive knowledge of good clinical practice, policies and procedure Proven ability to consult, review, and develop, both new and existing policies and procedures within the relevant speciality Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems Need more information?
