Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is the regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

You will provide high quality, culturally appropriate and effective nursing practice and improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people at Millingimbi homelands.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work in the Homelands Program in association with the Aboriginal Health workforce to provide high quality primary and acute health care.
- Generate weekly recall lists from Communicare for follow-up of homeland residents.
- To coordinate homeland residents Health Checks.
- Generate referral lists from Communicare across specialist areas and maintain a database for each specialist area to track assessments, treatments and follow-on referrals.

You will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in remote Aboriginal communities and a strong interest in the health issues impacting on Aboriginal people in northern Australia.
