Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is the regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Remote Area Nurse - Women Health.
You will:
- Work in the Women’s Program in partnership with the Aboriginal Health workforce to provide high quality care to clients of Galiwin’ku community.
- Provide Women’s Health Checks to clients including pap smears and STI screening.
- Assist women with family planning education and contraceptive options.
- Prepare clients for completion of relevant MBS recalls on Communicare.
- Work in partnership with other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to health care and to support best practice, knowledge and skills of remote area practitioners.
You will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in remote Aboriginal communities and a strong interest in the health issues impacting on Aboriginal people in northern Australia.
