About the opportunity
An opportunity exists with a global pharmaceutical company for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their growing Oncology portfolio. Reporting into the Medical Head, you will be working with 1st in class molecules / products to enhance the life of cancer patients.
As the first MSL to join the team, you will be heavily involved in strategy along with making an impact in the field speaking with leading oncologists. You will be backed by strong clinical data from Australia based studies and a reputable global brand.
Duties
- Support Medical/Scientific Information Needs of Scientific Experts and other Health Care Professionals
- Maintain the highest level of knowledge regarding current disease state product (including competitor products) and investigational compound information
- Facilitating scientific exchange between industry and the Scientific Expert community
- Engage in continuous learning within the therapeutic area they represent to include: literature, attending scientific meetings and meeting peer groups regularly
- Provide support for research initiatives to include:
- Facilitating of interactions between medical personnel and external investigators
- Identifying opportunities for potential external research collaborations
- Gather and communicate scientific intelligence and clinical insights identified through their interactions with Scientific Experts and other Health Care Providers
Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, M.D., Ph.D. in a medically related field) License, certificate, degree
- 2-3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison / MSL
- Deep-rooted network of Oncologists Australia wide
- 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience
