Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is the regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in East Arnhem Land, providing comprehensive primary health care services for over 6,000 Indigenous residents of North East Arnhem and public health services for close to 10,000 people across the region.

You will provide high quality, culturally appropriate and effective nursing practice and improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander adult males at Malmaldharra Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities include:
- To work in the Men’s Health Program in partnership with the Aboriginal Health workforce to provide high quality care to clients of Yurrwi community.
- To provide Men’s Health Checks to clients including STI screening and treatment follow up.
- Coordinate Annual Male Adult Health Checks.
- Generate referral lists from Communicare across specialist areas and maintain a database for each specialist area to track assessments, treatments and follow-on referrals of adult males.
- To provide culturally inclusive quality health care to individuals, families and the community within own level of competency and across agreed procedures and protocols, and in accordance with CARPA Manual, in order to meet expected health outcomes.

You will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in remote Aboriginal communities and a strong interest in the health issues impacting on Aboriginal people in northern Australia.
