Established for 50 years, TriCare is one of Queensland’s largest private owners and managers of retirement communities and aged care residences.
TriCare’s Mount Gravatt Aged Care Residence, our refurbished 146 bed facility on Brisbane’s Southside, is recruiting for a permanent part time Lifestyle Team Member.
Reporting to the Lifestyle Coordinator, your role is to encourage and support residents to take part in activities to suit their needs and interests such as craft, music or alternative therapies. Naturally, your excellent communication skills will be an important attribute for this role.
The role is offering a variety of shifts (50 hours per fortnight). Generally, you will advised of your roster a fortnight in advance. Your hours may be increased on occasion to undertake relief shifts. Attractive penalty rates are paid for weekend shifts.
You will possess the following skills, qualifications and attributes:-
- Experience in undertaking activity programmes for those with dementia or challenging behaviours;
- A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health;
- An enthusiastic attitude and empathy when assisting the elderly;
- Current first aid qualifications.
