Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Associate Director, Westmead Redevelopment will assist the Executive Director in the provision leadership and direction on the planning and implmentation of strategies and programs associated with the Westmead Redevelopment’s program of planning, change management, and operationalisation.

The position is intended to act as a conduit between the operations of Westmead Hospital and the various business partners delivering the Westmead Redevelopment in relation to WSLHD service.
The role is to deliver an enhanced WSLHD service. This will be characterised by an incident-free commissioning period amd improved KPI results such as Emergency Treatment Performane and Elective Surgery Access Performance.

Selection criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience in senior leadership positions within the public health sector including managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  2. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of the health service planning process including; facility design, models of care design and documentation, change management and implementation, and operational commissioning.
  3. Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, clinicians, managers and other stakeholders in a complex environment with a proven track record in building rapport and establishing trust to achieve shared visions and goals.
  4. Strong risk identification and management skills.
  5. Extensive experience in project management and a proven ability to deliver outcomes on time and within budget.
  6. Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with the project team, district management, and key stakeholders.
  7. Highly developed negotiation, consultation, and interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholder and objectivity in decision-making.
  8. Knowledge of clinical redesign methodologies.
