About the role:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician with previous pharmacy experience to support our rapidly growing, fast paced pharmacy team. Based at Mater Hospital Townsville, this position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and operates in a full-time capacity, working approximately 38 hours per week with participating in weekend roster.

Key responsibilities:
- Dispense medication to patients
- Manage pharmacy stock
- Check and supply ward imprest stock
- Delivery and collection rounds
- Process the PBS claim
- Produce medication discharge profiles
- Liaise with hospital staff and associated employees
- Assist with patient account enquiries
Skills & experience:
- Ability to dispense with FRED preferred (training provided if needed)
- Prior oncology knowledge and dispensing skills will be desirable
- Ability to pick stock quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service
- Ability to address client needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
- Pharmacy experience essential
