Busy Periodontic clinic in Balwyn is seeking a qualified dental assistant for an ongoing casual position.
The team is looking for an outgoing and energetic dental assistant who is seeking to either expand or build upon their knowledge within a specialist field.
The hours are 7:30 to 6pm generally on Fridays with a further day each week also generally available. On occasions, the successful candidate will need to be able to be available for planned absences.
You will work alongside some of Melbourne’s most respected Periodontal practitioners with enviable reputations built up over more than 20 years. Your duties will include:
- chairside assisting with periondontists, an oral health therapist, and hygienists
- setting up for hygiene appointments
- setting up and assisting for surgical procedures
- instrument processing and sterilisation
- patient care and post operative instructions
Our selection criteria include
- Certificate III in Dental assisting, and at least 12 months experience
- An ability to work effectively within a team
- professional appearance and impeccable communication skills
- empathy for patients
- eagerness to learn and excel
- excellent infection control knowledge and standards
- flexibility in availability
- satisfactory Police Check and References
Experience in Periodontics is not essential – we can train you in our protocols.
